Webinar: Bilingual Education in Peru

On 3rd March 2021 we held a webinar on Bilingual education in Peru, looking at indigenous languages, social inclusion and barriers.

We were thrilled to welcome guest speaker Pabel Vivanco Cardenas, who shared both his personal and academic insight on Peru’s intercultural bilingual education programme. Pabel grew up in the Andean region and was part of the first non-Quechua speaking generation in his family. He has gone on to study at the University of Oklahoma, where he explored the effect of bilingual education on students by the time they reached university.
