School Shopping for Azul Wasi
Azul Wasi is one of our partner organisations that provides a home to 21 boys from the Cusco region between the ages of 5 and 18. With 21 school-aged boys, you can imagine the back to school period being stressful with long lists of school equipment to buy to prepare for the year ahead of learning.
For this two LAFF volunteers, Miles, and Chris went with a list of school supplies spanning several pages to the local stationery shops in Cusco. After several hours in several stores, Azul Wasi was ready for the next year of hard work!
Education is a crucial part of LAFFs work and we are really pleased to be able to help the boys at Azul Wasi do the best they can. To read a recent success story from Azul Wasi you can also read about Dante on the newsletter.
Dante’s Success Story
One of LAFFs most important objectives is to prepare our beneficiaries in the best possible way for later life. The most important way of doing this is by allowing them to make their own decisions but with LAFF providing any help that they may need.
With this in mind, we are really excited to tell you about the recent success of Dante who is a beneficiary at Azul Wasi. Last week Dante had his first day at Cenfotur, an acclaimed technical institute in Cusco. Dante is now studying Hotel Administration with the dream of working abroad and eventually managing a hotel.
From LAFF we sincerely wish Dante the best of luck in his career. We are also excited to work with other beneficiaries like Dante to help them pursue their dreams!
