Many people like to make a donation to charity as a way of remembering and honouring a loved one. This might be instead of leaving flowers at a funeral, or on an anniversary. Making a donation in memory of a special person is a lovely way to celebrate their life, and do something really positive to help the lives of others at the same time.
Donations made in memory may be a very private thing for some people, but if you would like to invite friends and family to make a donation to LAFF you can set up an online ‘In Memory’ giving page here, or ask them to send you or us a cheque, payable to Latin American Foundation for the Future.
If you are organising a collection at a funeral, you might want to ask for donations to LAFF. If people can´t donate on the day, they can make a donation in their own time and we will notify you of any further donations.
Every donation you make goes towards our work to build a better future for children in Peru. Thank you for thinking about supporting our work in honour of someone special.
Hannah Barrett was a dedicated Trustee and much-loved friend of all the LAFF team. Hannah sadly passed away on Friday 30th July 2010, having lost her battle with cancer. Hannah’s natural goodness, selflessness, generous disposition, smiles and giving nature continue to inspire everyone who knew her and infuse the work of LAFF.
Hannah Barrett’s parents Merilyn and Paul decided to set up a fund in memory of Hannah as a continuation and celebration of her dedication to LAFF and the volunteer projects in which she was involved in Peru.
